beads dripping down my face
swallow all the condemnation
of my undeniable disgrace

hollowed for the world
a plastic shell to hold
every little secret unfurled
begging to be consoled

nothing has ever mattered
when it comes to love
it leaves all barren and battered
with no mercy from above

how the dirt sticks to my skin
as claustrophobic as the lies
i never thought the sin
was simply a disguise

the grave that i dig
i swallow it whole
nothing to give
put a pretensive role

shallow pain is blind
the world uses it as a tool
to twist and tame the mind
as a distorted sense of control

face down in the shame
of my own miserable grave
is the blind sight
of all the bitter lies

but i've no one else to blame
for the mind that i gave
blind and trite
life is a shameful disguise

You nicely portrayed your emotions
