Millions of threads bind me, hold me
Keep me together
One for my arm, one for my leg
A thousand for my mind

Coloured pieces of twine
Decorating insanity, pain
-pleasure-
Balanced on the line
I have fallen off before
This divide—the millimetre—
Between this
And insanity

One tip, one trip—wires snap
Emotions freed from strangle hold
Hot, red hot pain and terror

Patch the break
More string, more threads
More pathetic attempts
Reason, logic, freezing apathy
Restraining white hot emotion
Passion burns the thread
Threads hold me together

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
