I close my eyes and envision your face
I can't find anything I've lost my place
Once, everything was white
Pure and wonderful
It all turned to gray
And for awhile stayed that way
But darkness has a way of creeping in
And everything soon faded to black.
So now I know what I lack
You can't just let me die
I don't understand why
We all must be so small-minded
When we could all just be free
