I look in the mirror and see a face staring back
It’s not mine I don’t think
Well I don’t know who I even am anymore
This face hides who I am from everyone-
Even myself
The mask conceals everything
To preserve the real me
I just wish someone would look into my eyes
And really know who I am
And how I feel
What can I do?
I’m fading away….

Fading-
I can’t see me anywhere
I’m rapidly disappearing
And no one even notices
Me
Now just a shadow on the wall
Of my former self

Shadow-
I am now a shadow
No longer real
The outer shell has consumed me.

Homewrecker
I’m so sick of their fighting
And I know it’s my entire fault
Because that is my job-
Homewrecker

I like your poem I’ve felt that way in the pasted. I can see you’re a deep thinker and a passionate person. In the end what people think means nothing, most people are only thinking about themselves anyway. What you think about yourself and how you nurture yourself into the person you want to be is valuable.
Keep up the good work.

This is very well written. I know what you mean, about the mast concealing you, even to yourself. And I can REALLY realate to the last stanza,"Homewrecker
I’m so sick of their fighting
And I know it’s my entire fault
Because that is my job-
Homewrecker"
I feel the same way. But you must know that nothing anyone else does is your fault. *hugs*

I can really relate with the first 3 parts....and you wrote it beautifully. I'm not sure how the homewrecker part fits in. I was expecting a different ending but it was a great poem! And it's NOT your fault. You cannot blame yourself.
