...nebulous thoughts,
they ebb,
they flow,
meander about,
a silent shadow;
...they whimsically wander,
over here,
over there,
snuggle into corners,
an overstuffed chair;
...they slither into crevices,
into bottomless pits,
they scream through the heavens,
a mind-boggling blitz;
...they never cease,
they never rest,
they shuffle about,
never certain how best
to phrase a concept,
express an ideal,
contain within words
everything that you feel;
...they can be tyrants,
refusing to bend,
or the gentle caress
of a caring friend;
...they are often times witless,
embarrassingly dull,
actually quite stupid,
or surprisingly full
to the brim,
overflowing,
with wisdom and truth,
sometimes more trouble
...than an abscessed tooth;
raucous and rowdy
when one needs to sleep,
when desperately needed,
they won't make a peep;
...they laugh at me,
tease me,
cuss me out good,
flatter,
cajole,
or, say that I should
do this,
or maybe,
quite possibly that,
a minute or so
after the fact...

My thoughts are my children,
too,
mischievous and playful,
don't know what I'd do
without them.

Well written work is ADD a real illness or is it just a label we use when a child wants attention? or am I just being weird again!
