bigger, beautiful horizons and drinks with lime.
Now illusioned in reality, avoiding the real,
I thought it would be different,
now I'm stuck being indifferent.

I'd climb every mountain, walk every path,
swim every sea, live every dream...
But now I'm not sure anymore,
walls crumble, rooftops fall, boulders rumble
and this old soul stumbles.

Holding onto something ethereal,
just a dream, just a vision,
wishing it'd be real,
now I'm broken and everything seems so surreal.

I decided to change, sweep away the pain,
instead all that was remembered was the past,
now there is no path and I'm lost.

Thought it would be different this time,
but nothing I can ever do will ever be enough,
every moment spent is wasted unappreciated,
now I'm just again the loser in this game of life. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 443 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Kellros [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 6 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Very morbid, obviously invokes feelings of loss and change... I liked the feel it gave and the language used. The way it is done gives no room for hope... and that in itself is frightening.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
