If the words existed I would call them out to you
To explain this feeling
Or to just simply make you see
The way my heart breaks
How you really make me feel
When you do these things
And say those words
How I fall apart inside
And how a little of me dies
The way the tears fall...
I know you've been here too...
I know I wasn't always good
But neither were you...
We have both failed each other
We both have our mistakes...
But a little bit of trying
Is all that it would take...
When you dont want to fix it
And youre happy how things are...
It makes me wonder where we're heading
And how much you really care...
The words you say are sweet
And you paint a pretty picture
But they all fall apart... they seem to disappear
When I see the other things...
All I ask is, you tell me where we are
Tell me how it is...
Thats not too much to ask
From someone who is your friend
A little bit of truth never hurt anyone
And it wont hurt us either...
But when I dont get the truth
It makes me think that you are lying
And when I think youre lying
I know that you arent trying
So if you think you can give up
Then why cant I.?
If we really look at the past
Youd see how much more I cried
I remember all our happy times
And all the love we shared
I remember how you smiled
And how it let me know you cared...
We only want one thing...
Or at least we both used to...
Happiness is near at hand
It still hangs in the balance,
Its at the tips of our fingers,
If only you still want it....
Im only asking you be honest
And keep your word to me
And when you start to tell the truth
Thats when You and I can be
