The neon lights still brighten up Jakarta
and those bodies of clumsy souls are still alive
Like the dehydrated parasites on the Sahara
they crave for more blood to survive

They say reality is no better than bad dreams
They're right, life itself is the figure of insanity
It is less forgiving and much worse than it seems
Not a fairy tale, not a happy-ending story

Humans are the world's most sordid vultures
The most vulgar sadists living in the galaxy
So frail, pathetically move with slow gestures
but torment their kind badly with no mercy

Here happens the same, if you want to know
Can you see now that in our lives evil takes part?
When the sun sets down, the evening will glow
Watch the sky become as dark as our rotten hearts! [comments] => 4 [counter] => 172 [topic] => 21 [informant] => cleoaurora [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

You must have seen some nasty stuff that night, to inspire such a dark view of humanity.
You're probably not far wrong though. Good write.

Lol! Try my city on for size :O
Not that this is funny at all

some people dont give a damn
about anything
not even them selves
We need to come together
Good poem here
i like it a lot

A very pessimistic view on humanity, it's sad but true however.

This is such a good poem. You should the dark side of humanity and it was very powerful. I loved this!
