Not in hugs not in kisses not in always and forevers
A mothers love is priceless and it crosses all the lines
A mothers love is all you need but please dont make her cry
For when she says "you broke my heart" something inside dies
You fall apart crying over every spoken lie
The "im sorries" no longer work and something in her triggers
In place of pride and joy, deceit and shame start to linger
You know in life you're nothing when your mother says those words
"You stress me out, go away, all you cause me is hurt"
So as soon as you're done reading and the poem in hand is through
Call your mom and say "I'm sorry" it's the least that you can do
I know it's but a week and the pain is still strong yet
I'm only praying that you'll forgive and only hope that you'll forget
Please forget I hurt you
Please forget you cried
Please forget I cursed you
And please forget I lied
Don't remember all those things I really feel you must
'Cuz of all the things I lost that night what I miss most is "us"
I know it's in your memory but I hope soon it fades
All I can do is look forward to happy brighter days
Maybe next Thanksgiving you'll hate me half as much
Maybe with a lot of work I'll regain some of your trust
So listen closely everyone because this next point's life or death
It will prevent you from losing countless nights of rest:
If theres one thing I have learned after all these years
It's that there is no poison to the heart quite like "a mothers tears"

a poem like this can only bring you joy to the eyes
i know what you are exactly saying
there is nothing when your mother is drowning you in her pool of cries
neither do i want to poison my mother in her heart
never would i ever do something as bad to break her apart
a poem as beautiful as this, i truly love
but i understand your message
for our great mothers, we need to thank the good lord above

Tears swelled my eyes and I had goose bumps after reading this remarkable piece of poetry. You have the ability to be able to express yourself so clearly and so well.

If theres one thing I have learned after all these years
It's that there is no poison to the heart quite like "a mothers tears"

How true these words are. An excellent piece of poetry that touches the heart and fills the eyes with tears. Well done.
*hugs*
