The thanksgiving turkey it
Cures my hungry
The Christmas ham its “old”
So filling'
I give thanks for this
Once, twice year feast
But
O how I love the chicken
"N" dressing!
With cranberry sauce “n”
Don't forget the pumpkin
And Potato pie
To say the least of the
Collard greens
Hot water cornbread,
Such good eaten should
Not be allowed for fatty
Foods to enlarge your middle
Section
Widen your wrist 28 to 47'
But good food is so hard to
Come by...
So you’re keep right on feasting..
Feast "n" feast...
Clothes you thought you
wear a lifetime
Now is history in the making..
Well!
What can I say?
Good food only pass my
Way!
Once or twice a year
So I’ll go on eaten my fill..
The Plum puddin, pumpkin “n”
Potato pie,
Chicken 'n'dressing 'oh'
Surely sound so inviting,
Just turn to your left and look
At your uncle Pete..
His belly just dropped an
Extra 5 inches...
So what can I say?
Hoilday feasting is surely
Fine...

lol love this... I love those little cornish hens, stuffed.. and mmm.. hubby loves sweet potato pie... I am a mashed potato girl.. with lots of gravey... when we ladies gain weight on our tummies.. we can't zip up our pants, or skirts, and belts.. we keep boring new holes lol.. men are lucky, they can still button their pants below the big pot belly.. but then again, most men dont have back ends or hips lol... I am chuckling, your poem makes me smile away, it is so delicate.. all those holiday clothes are way in the back of the closet.. they won't see daylight again lol... rL
