[bodytext] => My World Is Gone

The sun once rose over the happy hillside.
The moon once lit the deep valley.
The dew on a petal once glistened with the promise of laughing children.
The clouds once had a silver lining.
Our thoughts were one in one.
Our dreams were full of happinesses.
My life was yours and yours mine.
My joys were yours,
your joys were mine.
When there were tears,
they were our tears.
When the sun shone,
it shone on us.
Where you were,
I was.
The world was ours.

. . .

The cold spring dew glistens still.
The clouds still wander the sky.
The moon and sun make their daily rounds,
but,
my joy is gone,
my life I cannot find.
When the sun shines,
I only see the shadows.
On a starlit night,
I only hear the whistling wind.
There lies within my soul,
and infinite gap,
that throbs,
as I watch robins on your mound.

Where you are,
I am not.
My World is gone.

Such a heart strings pulling poem. Very touching, sweet, but sad. You can feel the emotion, the loss, it's absolutely captivating. A great and humble write. I hope to see more.

A very bitter-sweet write. Reminds me of my grandparents....
well done.
