Please give me what I ask
I see the smile your hiding
Behind the porcelain mask

Fulfil my empty heart
With love that's good and true
I had it once, then I lost it
Till the day that I found you

My heart has sanctioned its pain
Every chamber an opened door
The blood that rushes within
Will feel love again once more

Fervent desires linger
Heated passion ignites in trice
I'll be here contented waiting
For the fall of your dice

I vow to love you staunchly
In return, I ask is the same
No more poignant excuses
Matters of the heart are no game

So won’t you end my torment
Take off the porcelain mask
My heart it needs an answer
To the questions that I ask

Seems many hide behind, something..........be it with a smile, or with a frown.! Even if it is with out a mask.......many still hide.! Loved the style of the WHOLE write..........made you ponder on realism.! Always a pleasure, to read a post of yours.! You have a lot of talent.

Hmmm...I know all men aren't the same, but sometimes it sure seems so...When I come across a write such as this, and it reminds me 100% of who broke my heart! Grrrrrr. I think there's a couple big-ish obstacles for you two to overcome first, but I honestly think you and he could pull it off, and find true love and happiness together Sue...You laid your cards out in this one, and now he needs to respond. Very well done. Your expression in this piece is deep.

Matters of the heart are no game.....
How true. I don't think that there are many people who can write emotional poetry as well as you....
Great write!

This is very well written, and a plaintive cry that appears to be deeply felt... I pray it was answered.

Try to recall all those happy times, let them fill your spirit, then begin there. Yes, when people hide, many others are cut off, but just remember to be yourself, the problem does not lie within you, let the other person become responsible for their actions, you will never be able to change up another soul, therefore, you must try to get out of the situation where in which it is dragging you down. Smile Sue, be happy, love from me, your friend, Raquel Leah :D true loving words, follow those words in action equals happiness and peace...
