There came a day when I looked beyond your smile
and I sensed your depth:
but, you were deeper still.
I watched you give your Love to the children
and I thought I saw your depth...
but, you were deeper still.
In time I was touched by your words
and seemed to feel the depth of your soul...
but, you were deeper still.
I gazed into the deep blue of your eyes;
I swam in the warm laughing plazma
and I thought I knew...
but, you were deeper still.
I was richly warmed by the caressing fingers
of your whispered thoughts,
and sensed a knowledge of your heart's depth...
but, you were deeper still.
Today, your softened face, your weeping spirit,
the tears on the edge of your soul's eye
beckoned me to a virgin, fathomless world of depth...
...fathomless...you mock its definition,
for now I know...
without a doubt I know,
You, C------, are deeper still.
