[title] => A Burnt Patch of Soil (9/11)
[time] => 2005-10-14 17:12:36
[hometext] => I wrote this poem on behalf of 9/11. It was a terrible tragedy and I thought it would be a good subject for a poem.
[bodytext] => They walked in the shadows of their dead, Melting in their sadness, Their never ending grief shown before them. Four years passed, Yet the suffering still plagued them, It was still there, As though it were mocking them. But it was a tragedy, Nothing could be done, by them nor anyone else. The flames still burned as they did four years ago, Burning forever, Not showing mercy. Flames showing war. Flames causing more deaths than necessary, The deaths feeding the flames, Until nothing’s left, But a burnt patch of soil.
