[bodytext] => Oh how naive can one man be, To think you would fall in love with me? And to live each day as if you cared, Pretending always, that you were there. My vanity caught me much by surprise. Your beauty trapped me, caught by my eyes. I let my heart go floating free, Expecting protection from you for me. With time I’ve sunk so very far. So when I look up I see no stars. The love I held that shown so bright, Now wastes in darkness, absent of light. Why did I let you steal my soul, Cutting me in half, who once was whole? Every night and day I cry out your name, But my echoed voice bounces back in vain. I wonder if this was your master plan, To bait and catch some foolish man? Then swallow him up as you sever his line, And destroy all hope, as you have mine. I always knew your love was fake. But you always assured it was no mistake. But I could never touch, and you never stayed. To believe in you is naiveté`. But then you reached your bottom too. And to me you turned. as you always do. But naiveté's just another word. You’ve a nest in me, my precious bird!
