please take me by the hand
please look me in the eye
please understand how much it hurts
when you see me cry
i try to hide my feelings
and act like nothings changed
but i know change was inevitable
that nothing is the same
please dont pretend to love me
if its not really how you feel
please dont pretend to care for me
if those feelings are not real
please understand how much it hurts
to put my trust in you
please understand what i dont
and know that i love you
please be my friend and stand by me
never forget that i love you so much
please remember as you push me away
that i long to feel your touch
please dont include me in these stupid games
i cannot take the pain
i do not know the rules or score
and it fills me with shame
that i continue pretending
that there is hope for you and me
because some things are impossible
and it will never be.
