But I truly am..and I hope that matters
I don't regret making a mistake
I regret building something just to watch it nearly shatter
Shatter into pieces of something I could never put back together
Pieces so sharp I could cut myself in the process
A process that could take forever
And I'm worried about getting hurt again
I know I shouldn't be, but I'm a good liar
And you believe me so easily..
I guess I've just always been the type to fight fire with fire
I accept that..to a certain point
Until I get uneasy at the thought of what I'm capable of
It scares that I can see myself..on a corner, lighting a joint
But I know that's not something you would approve of
You'd look at me, with your hipochracy
As if it were nothing
As if I were nothing more than your amusement for the day
I won't be your clown
I won't be your entertainment
And yes, you've done it, you've pushed me down
But you won't ever hear me say it
Not to your face..that would be weakness to you
Actually telling you how I felt..god forbid.
And here you are again..caught up in what I thought wasn't about you
Then again..everything is about you, isn't it?
Guess you could say that I give up.
Your sarcasm hurts..your impulsive words burn.
But it's nothing I haven't heard..so I guess it's okay.
Just remember my name, remember my face
It's the one that you hurt as you walked away
You're good at that, you know.
So good at making me stoop down so low.
Till I'm eye level with you..and then you get what you wanted
Another mistake
But I don't regret making it..
I guess it's a little late for me to say sorry..

Well-expressed this certainly is. I think your thoughts come home to the reader.

I did note a lack of specifically poetic style; some of the lines felt more like ordinary speech. But given their clarity, I feel that with time you'll make an excellent poet. Do keep it up!
