that i did not have before
When a carpenter was writing
for his people a new law
But it did not change the old one
it made me free to choose
so that somehow i could be close to you

Obstacles arise to block me
shiny things to tempt my sight
Other voices try to pull me
from the road that's good and right
There's a battle deep inside me
and it causes suffering
but somehow i must remain free

I'm always gonna be a slave to someone
At first it made me mad to have no choice
yet freedom is a slave to someone
when you know you are a friend to God

So each time i face temptation
let me not ever forget
of the struggles that I'm fighting
and the war that I am in
That i have been freed from bondage
I have the gift to understand
in the struggle to remain free [comments] => 7 [counter] => 208 [topic] => 62 [informant] => Archie [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => spiritual )

Well done! This is a great write indeed. I do like your view of freedom, to choose one's slavery. Interesting.
Take care, my friend.
