Array ( [sid] => 106145 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Lord Of The Rings [time] => 2005-09-21 11:45:25 [hometext] => A great poem based on book The Lord Of The Rings by J.R.R.Tolkien. The 1200+ paged books is presented in a poetic style in just 1 page without editing the story !!!! [bodytext] => LORD OF THE RING

(1)Long time ago, a legend had taken place,
not for royal, not for riches but for the middle earth’s fate.
It all started with creation of a ring,
a ring of power, for the evil king.
It was created in fires of volcano Mt. Dom,
where it will take its martyrdom.
(2)Protest against the evil spread far.
Men all over, united for war.
The end of king Sauron wasn’t far.
The battle ended with a blasting sound,
but the evil ring wasn’t found.
(3)An Era passed since peace prevailed,
over the earth evil clouds now veiled.
Souron reappeared in the form of his soul,
patient for his ring to be found.
(4)At that time in a far green country,
the ring was found by a pair of half lings,
Sam Gamgee and Frodo Baggins.
They came to know the evil rings secrets,
and set off to accomplish what was one of the Saurons biggest regrets.
(5)During the journey, they met a group of comrades,
ready to sacrifice anything for the middle earth’s sake.
Thus a fellowship was formed, and hopes all over were warmed.
(6)Then happened, of what all were afraid.
Sauron sent his force of demons, on a parade,
the parade to the fortress of Helms Deep
for the people of the kingdom of Rohan to taste a defeat.
A ten thousand battalions of demons against a group of less than six thousands of warrior blades.
(7)The lord of the ring was in seek of a victory,
but what happened ,nobody foresee.
Sauron suffered a mighty blow.
But where and what were Frodo and Sam doing god only know.
(8)A total silence had spread deep and far,
the deep breadth before the plunge, the War.
Behind the walls of evil kingdom Mordor,
enemies Gathered to accumulate land beyond their Border.
Thus marched the evil forces towards Minas Tirith, the city of kings.
(9)The greatest battle ever, hence began.
An alliance of dwarfs, elves and man was formed,
One that had firm bond.
(10)After days of war, hope of good winning over evil was almost lost.
Then occurred what nobody even had hunch of,
an army of dead soldiers of the kingdom of Gondor came and gave the battle a new face-off.
(11)In the realm of Gondor overfill ness of cries of ‘Victory’ could be sensed.
On the other hand Frodo and Sam, completely blood drenched, climbed the steep and rocky slope of Mt. Dom to reach the volcanic end.
(12)End of the ring was now closer, it tried its all to influence Frodo’s mind,
But came in between Sam’s friendship, retrieving Frodo’s mind of accomplishing the aim of the fellowship.
(13)And the ring felt through hot ,dry air until reaching a hot, liquid coffin in which it would rest in the hell.
(14)The soul of Sauron busted off into flames into the sky leaving behind peace and prosperity.
(15)Then spread all over molten mass through a lava jetty. The lava killed Frodo and Sam in a jiffy.
(16) Thus the fellowship, though love bound ,came to an end.

I am a fan of "Lord of the Rings" so all I can say is Koshtub Vohra, when you elect to write poems like this make them short and very engaging, since everyone is familar with the topic.

You did a good job, somethings seemed inaccurate, yet i think it was a satisfying read.

I am a little confused as to what all the numbers before the sentences are for.
And as an avid fan of The Lord of the Rings, I have seen the movies and read all three books twice, I am afraid that Sam and Frodo did not perish. Nope they lived and went back to the shire. And not once did you mention Gollum, or did I miss it? He was the reason that Bilbo had the ring and longevity, and Frodo was given it to destroy.
I'm assuming your 14 years old? If so, this is a nice account, although minor inaccuracies.
Read the three novels (including the appendices) and also the Hobbit. J.R.R. Tolkien is a master of words. You can learn alot from him.
Nice job!
Joni

I wouldn't want to see anything changed here, its just perfect, it has your signature, you took a well known story and made it your own, I also like the end, of course you can take artistic liberty as the lord of the ring is a work of fiction, that was JRRT's, this is yours. A very good work indeed.

Hmm. Sorry, but I'm too much of a Tolkien fan to find any alterations to his epic very welcome.

But keep writing. Tolkien certainly provides a wealth of inspiration.
