Mind filled with confusion thoughts,
Passing different cars not noticing,
Rolling my window for fresh air,
Then I see a familiar face,
Not sure how to react…
Only staring and driving away
Questioning my inner thoughts
Have I seen that person before?
Realizing it is only a shadow of my past.

The shadow that’s been hunting my life,
Been trying to forget with no success,
The relationship ended abruptly,
Only because he was a married....
Leaving with no sympathy,
Suffering a broken hurt.

The shadow of my past keeps coming,
I cannot resist the past,
Why did the past has to come?
Why did I have to be reminded?
I know it happened…
It can’t be that familiar face I know?
It’s only illusional,
It’s only a shadow to bring memories,
Memories that cannot seem to disappear.

Driving around town,
Mind filled with confusion thoughts,
Passing different cars not noticing,
Rolling my window for fresh air,
Then I see a familiar face,
Not sure how to react…
Only staring and driving away
Questioning my inner thoughts
Have I seen that person before?
Realizing it is only a shadow of my past.
