There's a reason for the capitalization in the last line/title, but I don't really feel like explaining it... [bodytext] => What is love?
Without emotion, we are only ash.
But burning in this passion that we call life, I find myself scorched to the point of no return.
I have given so much for this, fought for this.
Watched this blossom.
But all blossoms die out eventually.

I remember your face, the way that angel's breath smells, the way that sunsets make you feel.
That first time, when love at first sight became more than a passing memory.
The first words spoken so uneloquently, almost as though fools approached queens.

We led ourselves down a path of violence, disgust, and love.
That burning sensation in our gut.
We became one, for the first time, the night that never ended.
Alpha tango.
The first dance.

Now we've found ourselves standing at a crossroads, no matter how cliched it may have become.
Our own demons have pushed that fire into itself, and it threatens to smolder.
Our own love, our own fires, have begun to choke one another away.

I will not forget, no matter the outcome, how I felt that day, the first or any other.
Love is a taste that lingers, and it's scars never heal.

And so now, I raise a toast...
