And whenever I danced
The snow would fall and cover me in pixie dust,
And everything would glitter in the stillness of it all,
there's shattered glass beneth my feet,
and I'm bleeding on your carpet
This shag white carpet
From the seventies, with lovely bloody footprints
around your bedroom.
But yesterday a crack appeared,
and suddenly my walls were sheared
and all my jewels were plastic
and my rose garden was a painting.
(and they'd always been)
So I said the word, which was law,
Let my globe shatter and fall,
I'll never dance in the fall of glitter, while the world revolves around me,
never again- [comments] => 2 [counter] => 263 [topic] => 43 [informant] => RAGEyourDREAM [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

I really loved this poem. For many reasons. It was different. I felt as if I could relate in my own sense... "Yesterday I was Queen,
and I ruled the world supreme.
And whenever I danced
The snow would fall and cover me in pixie dust,
And everything would glitter in the stillness of it all,
there's shattered glass beneth my feet,
and I'm bleeding on your carpet"

I love how it is metaphorical, with the snow globe... a world where everything is perfect and beautiful, but it falls and shatters like life. Things go good then seem to always turn in the other direction. Yesterday I was having a great morning and all of a sudden something happened that took the joy away. I hit the glass I was holding onto the cabinet and in turn sliced my hand up. Perfection broken instantly... beautiful peice. XOXOX
