But so tattered and torn below her skin
She vents anger but theres still so much in her underneath
She wants to believe, but she sees the lie in belief

To her love is another one of life's weaknesses
And she refuses to let herself feel weak with it
She's strong in the eyes of those who need to see
And haunting to those who betrayed her previously

"Can't break what's broken" is how she sees her heart
And the thorns of former 'lovers' have sliced her apart
Every smile she sees is a lie waiting to begin
Perhaps one day, in love, she'll believe again [comments] => 3 [counter] => 336 [topic] => 22 [informant] => heartquake [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 12 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

Hello there,
I read your poem and I will remember:
"Can't break what's broken" is how she sees her heart..." I like that.
Good luck,
Alex
