Ever thought

Ever thought what it would be like to be blind
- not to see your kids grow old?
Ever thought what it would be like to be deaf
- not hear your childrens' cries?
Ever thought what it would be like to be dead inside
- not feel pain as the hollow resides?
Ever thought what life would be like without struggles,
even if we wouldn't gain a thing?

Ever thought, that life would pass,
you'd watch it go by, slowly, under your watchful eye,
but instead you hesitate and let it go by,
it might have been your only chance to break away?

Ever, ever, ever found yourself looking in the mirror,
for yourself, but it's too sound, to deaf to yourself,
too covered in lies, that you dig deeper and deeper
to find yourself inside?

Ever... never... to the ever,
death, dying, breathing.
Would life be lost if we stopped
dreaming?
