[hometext] => This poem is simply about aging and how quick life can pass you bye.
[bodytext] => Every step leaves tracks in the mud It’s so quiet everything sounds as a thud The sky is ominous and dark Everyone here has their own mark The sun has begun to rise It makes me feel so alive This sunrise is much too strange It moves so fast and not arranged It moves to the middle of the sky I feel I’ve reached my peak, my high I’m aging I realize, upset What if the sun soon sets? The sun moves to set All I feel is regret My skin starts to wrinkle and whither I realize life is nothing more than a sliver And oh how I did waste my sliver It flowed by so fast as if a river Now the moonlight appears As my old body stands to fears The moonlight shines down so round Pointing at my body in the ground People appear, how infernal! Then I realize I stand at my funeral [comments] => 3 [counter] => 215 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Channing [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 14 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )
