Its been awhile now
since I first saw your face
Nothing
can ever take its place
Heart stolen
until the end of time
Never
found the courage to make you mine
In my dreams
you forever dwell
Feelings
why couldnt I just tell
Friendship
the best Ive ever known
Relationship
it could have grown
Timid heart
could not speak the words
Fearing
the answer to be heard
Sometimes
I thought you felt the same
Other times
it seemed you didnt even know my name
Praying
with every passing night
Aching
to hold you safe and tight
Slowly
our worlds drifted apart
Continuing
to love you as if from the start
Now
with our lives finalized
Tragedy
is love not recognized

Seems to me the tragedy was the love not spoken. Sad but lovely write.
