A prayer for victoms of Katrina

Heavenly father,
Not asking for myself
but for children and the rest.
Homes can be replaced.
Please spare lives with your grace.

Katrina is angry it seems.
A force so funky mean.
She's knocking on New Orlens door.
Spare each life for ever more.

Some take shelter at the super dome
Can't afford to travel on.
Such devastation, no doubt.
Spare the ones that can't get out.

Below sea level, not a good place.
Now are seeing Katrina's face.
Give them peace in the storm.
Hold them safe in your arms.

Such devastation she leaves behind.
Katrina certainly isn't kind.
So please bring peace to all,
In Jesus name I humbly call.

What a superb write.
Yes I hope many lives are safe in the arms of Jesus and the ones that have tragically died are at peace ...as this world is such a scarey place to be....I just can't imagine how everyone must feel right now...looks scarey enough on television....your poem says it all!

Amen! What a wonderful and heartfelt prayer. Very well versed, and serves as a reminder that those poor people caught in this storm could use all our prays.

Thanks for sharing emy, a good reminder to us all.

I remember a few year ago when a huricane flooded most of eastern North Carolina. It was sad and so is this but it is natural for these things to happen I do pray for the families down there and will do what i can to help.

Beautiful write!! I have been watching on T.V. the events of this disaster and cry for all those who are suffering. I don't even want to get started on the injustice of it all. Anywhoo, you have voiced what alot of us want to say but couldn't put into words. Thanx.
Thumps ;o)
