there is a light
Red candles for Cindy
in the dark Crawford night
So many mothers
now grieve for their boys
as the chaos grows daily
and sore grief deploys
They gather round Cindy
a mother in pain
Determined such a war
never happens again
Bring home the troops
Bring the mothers their sons
All the daughters too
and lay down their guns
Out in the darkness
there is a light
Red candles for Cindy
in the dark Crawford night
