Things that once I knew, now find change-
So much stuff that I find I need to rearrange-
You and I can no longer use the term “just a friend”-
As upon one another we have come to depend…

Once we traveled separate paths all alone-
So much emptiness we have often known-
But in you I have found shelter from life’s rain-
As you helped my soul release it’s bitter pain…

We met, you and I it seemed only by chance-
Who knew that the future held such a romance?
Yet here we are now standing face to face-
Sharing this moment together lost in love’s embrace…

Two hearts, once cast aside and left behind-
No longer have any reason to remain confined-
We share special moments locked in time-
A love that could never be called a crime…

Such a sweet tale of love. Cupid knows what he his doing. He has had lots of experience. We may not always understand, but he and the universe do. Special poem. I really enjoyed this.

Smiles,
Rita

Great poem! I wish me and my bestfriend
would have the same fate. I love her so
much than what she sees. You should read
my poem, "Just a Friend", because the title
of your poem somehow coincides with mine
in a very beautiful way.

Keep writing, I'll keep on reading.
