[hometext] => This poem was an assignment for a class I took last semester. This is the revised version of the original and I actually really like this poem even though I had no clue what I was putting down on my paper. Full of angsty goodness!!!!

I love you flows like Pennzoil from your lips as you fasten your hooks around my belt loops, thumbs fiddling with the button. You’re so romantic. I breathe counterfeit exultations d o w n your neck, encouraging you to continue your quest. Fabric sliding, hands meandering, hips bucking while I dig perfectly manicured fingernails into your back. Motions are rehearsed, repeated, rendered void. I’ll lie here tonight, convince myself you’re just another easy *****, and imagine that you are someone I could truly love: a musician, an artist, or your brother.
