are you still happy
with me, with us
i'm never completely sure
it's something we don't discuss
when it comes to how you feel
all is quiet and unsaid
no more sweet words
do you still say them in your head
where is this love
you used to show and share
do you still feel the same
it's no longer in the air
before i could feel it
see it in your eyes
hear it in your voice
it was never disguised
now you try to hide it
is it you or is it me
why do you hold it captive
set your feelings free
show mw again
like you showed me before
you don't have to worry
i'll take it for granted no more
i've made that mistake
but never again do i dare
let down those walls
for it is only fair
i give you my all
everything that i can
i can't do it alone
this you must understand
so come out from behind
those walls which you hide
come back where you belong
here by my side
we're in this together
i know you know how
so show me your love
all your heart will allow

Sure understand where you coming from..
when 1 gets hurt they build a wall..
I know cause i protect my from falling down..

Poignant emotions written here. Walls are built from fear and hurt. They don't fall easily.

i read "For The Love of My Son" first. I keep thinking ... dang ... you could be writing my life. This was a nice first post. You have set a nice bar for yourself. Off to see what else you have in store.
