You tell me that I’m normal,
But you don’t know me

I’m not the little girl,
That I used to be.

I’m a different person now,
You have seen to that.

You made me a different shape.
You know it for a fact.

I’m not miss sunshine anymore.
I’m not a little princess.

You abandoned me,
You caused all of this stress.

I finally found a way,
To lose all the pain.

It’s not a normal thing,
It’s not a childish game.

In this unique piece,
Thought has gone into.

Life is no piece of cake,
And some things it makes you do.

It bends, and winds.
And the fences should stay strong.

But then again in my case,
I think I waited to long.

I need a figure,
To look towards.

I do want,
My life to move forward.

You didn’t understand,
So please just let me be.

You told me I was normal,
But you don’t know me. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 172 [topic] => 13 [informant] => AshRayne [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

I like the first and end lines, a lot. It seems to make the poem very final.

I think it's sad how much people change others (Or try to).

This is a strong poem.

Good for you,
Phil.

Nice poem. One criticism- it didn't really hook the reader. use some more strong adjectives. Good write
