A place dear to us that we keep to ourselves.
Your Paradise would be different from mine,
And my Paradise is unlike the next persons.
Some are real places, others pure imagination,
Whichever your paradise is there is one sure thing;
When there you are completely content.

My Paradise is not stereotypical as one may expect;
There are no palm trees, there is no clear blue ocean.
Instead my Paradise is cold and monotonous,
Yet beautiful all the same, it’s beauty in the simplicity.
The wolves huddle together in packs, the bears hibernate,
I am their only friend; I am the only one lonely enough;
In my Paradise there is none but my furry friends and me.

The heavy snow drives hard into my old log cabin,
It is so cold but there is nobody but me to worry about.
Not even my furry friends are there with me, by my side,
My only friends in Paradise have retired to their cold homes.
I have no body to talk to on these nights in paradise,
My only company are the thoughts in my head, and
The secret love that I keep locked away in my heart.

You may ask why my hidden Paradise in my mind is so harsh,
The fact is this vision that is harsh to you, is calming me;
Driving snow, powerful winds, wild animals, and me.
You may think it is crazy, this little vision of my Paradise;
But your Paradise would seem just as odd to someone else.
Paradise is an escape from real life, and I love one thing about mine;
At least someone listens to me in my ‘Northern Paradise’. [comments] => 0 [counter] => 195 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Buggsy [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )
