Bright and warm, listen and learn

Love moves with mysterious hand
Sunshine and bright golden sand
Scent of roses in the air
Hands to hold, secrets to share

Love the aphrodisiac of power
Love can make the weakest, flower
Love the drug of ecstasy
Sets the seeds of passion free

Unconditional, ever true
Love is waiting here for you
Love will make your spirit whole

Wow excellent poem. Except you didn't really say what the meaning of love is. Start by asking yourself what is love. Most people would say an emotion but I think it is so much more. In your own words "the essence of the soul". I truely loved that line. So anyway what love is, is a pleasure. A need that we all must have. It's something that can lift us up one second and crash us down the next. In the end you know I'm right. I speak in the pural second person because I feel that we and us is a better term than you. Anywho enough look at me I'm smart and back to the poem. I loved the first stanza, obviously the AABB patern works perfectly for you.

Sincerely,
Karlee

I rspectfully disagree with Karlee Ros..
You demonstrate the meaning very clearly:

"The doer of all things good"
"The spark to make it burn"
"Sunshine and bright golden sand"
ect..

Karlee should heed the last line of the first I think..
Refreshing Ros..great write.

With Respect-

B

I thought this was a beautiful write.
Love is so multi-layered and very hard to
describe in so few words, but I thought you did it eloquently.
