Array ( [sid] => 10114 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => A Torn Heart [time] => 2003-01-10 06:20:00 [hometext] => I've been hurt many times, i may be young, but i certainly know how i feel. This poem is dedicated to that of a gf i had over a year back now, this poem does come from the heart. [bodytext] => Silent whispers through the night, they carry a thousand words,
A tear drop rolls like thunder amidst the cheek of my defenseless lover.
My soul vibrates with terror, I ponder what lay ahead of me,
A deep sleep?, a world of dreams?, or perhaps a love better lost.

The nights filled with passion echo anger through my windows of truth,
Yet defenseless and un-armed, I know nothing of which has decieved me.
Each movement closer, I shudder, I ache,
The thought of crying slithers its way through my mind once more.

She stares into my eyes, I see her fear and cold blooded sweat,
Clueless she grasps my hand and proceeds to show a negative person.
Is it severe schizophrenia? Jekyll and Hyde playing a modern role?,
One has only to think that what the future holds would scare even the most furious of demon.

The fire that was once burning, slowly distinguished,
why? deceit is all to blame, I was to caught up to see truth...failure.
The sea I sailed of a thousand hearts, smashed and broke to fragments,
All that is left is debris of a shattered heart.

So blind to see it coming, foolish to put faith in one's heart,
And now all thats left is a crying boy, who slowly crumbled apart.
I know she's laughing, the dank smirk on her face,
I can taste her bitterness, so sour.

I trusted to soon, i paid the price,
Now all's left is a torn heart. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 307 [topic] => 2 [informant] => James_McMorn [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 34 [ratings] => 7 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )
