[bodytext] => I have decided to take life by the reigns Because the horses have strayed for too long But then again, I’ve never taken my own advice Laying back like an embarrassed child, I simply say and do the right things Somehow after you, right seems wrong and impulsive infallible Quarter life gone and nothing to show I fall upwards towards a sky not ready to collect With beliefs not my own but of those before me My morality is their heirloom Like an intangible hand-me-down It is time for me to move from their shadow And I will start with you, my first independent act The old trees have been burnt to make room for the new Will you take me as such?
