feeling of loss
heart-wrenching despair
all caught in the love
but in fury is shared
calls out his help
when it is unwanted and bare
touchstone of life
fighting his care
but to give in to the madness
of longing and peace
would lead to such sadness
and never will sease
lays down the law
the rythmn of life
and shows to all ages
what the meaning is strife

KC, this was so kind of you! Although I first had to check out the meaning of didactic, lol, and there are a couple of meanings you could be going for. Anyway...
This was a very emotional poem, and yes, I can relate. You captured things so well. Thank you for taking the time to do this.
