[title] => I woke up old one day...

[bodytext] => I went to bed, I was young, I know I felt that way. But during the night, the early parts of dawn, The years had faded away. I was certain I was, young and so sure, when my old head hit that pillow, But then I look at the reflection in the mirror. My years have dwindled, been swallowed. A young girl walks in, To young to be, To young to be nursing old men. But when she smiles and speaks, It dawns on me, My years have skipped by unseen. It/'/s a new young world, A world for the brave, Not for the old and the frail. I ponder my life and search with weary eyes, for my helping, bedside handrail. I stand on my feet, the young nurse by my side, As I make my way down the hall. She helps me to sit in my large, comfy chair, As I ponder past life and its toils. Its over for me, I know now at last, I must bide my time to leave. As the young nurse checks the other near me, I close my eyes to be free. Sometime that morning as i sat in my chair, My weary heart gave way. So I slumber now never to wake, I can rest this is my last day. I look down on you all, young, strong and tall, I hope you have a good life. I rest now in heaven with my loved ones beside me, and my arms round my soul-mate, my wife.
