Even if your tears of joy
Turn into tears that destroy
I will be there through it all
I will be there to catch your fall

If you were to ever choke
After laughing at my joke
There would be no doubt
That I would help you get that food out

If you ever were to trip
Over your own lip
I'd grab your arm and help you up
Then I'd help you not look like a lost pup

I would help your spirit soar high
And watch you with a smile and sigh
You deserve the world and more
You make my whole life be not such a chore

You help me live life to the fullest
And prove to me that life is no pest
Thank you for all that you've done
With your help, I will never be outdone

I am so grateful for you being my friend
Without you I wouldn't have been able to mend
I may have ended up seeing the end
With nothing left but a pain that will never suspend

So on your birthday I am here to let you know
That forever I will let our friendship grow
