You pretend that you aren’t happy
You pretend that you are sad
You pretend that you aren’t perfect
And that just makes me mad

You say that you’re not smart
You say that you are dumb
You say that you are hated
And that makes me feel numb

You say that everyone hates you
And then run off and cry
But everyone thinks you’re stupid
Because you want to die

It wasn’t my fault you took this path
You chose it on your on
So now you know what it feels like
To finally feel alone

So when you try to talk to me
Remember, I won’t talk back
Because you are so stupid

Pretend

You pretend that you aren’t happy
You pretend that you are sad
You pretend that you aren’t perfect
And that just makes me mad
