Once upon a dream in my child hood
I walked with my mother along a street
Looking toward sky in the silent night
With a twinkle in her eye she told me
"Look at the milky ways there our Lord
Sits in contemplation on his own creation!"
Then I saw a huge ethereal shape of Lord
Formed out of countless stars over the void.

Once upon a dream in my school days
Awakened to the sweet notes of birds
Among the bushes and trees of paradise
I saw heavenly damsels robed in silks
Singing and moving on a fantastic gait
Collecting fragrant flowers in their baskets
They past towards the golden gates of East
In a hurry to attend their princess Dawn.

Once upon a dream in my college days
When I was sleeping ashore of an ocean
Awoke in a dark hall of my heart cavern
As I read hieroglyphs and carved images
In a flash of lightening appeared a goddess
I saw her lovely feet dancing on a dais as
Sweet notes of lutes played on my nerves
Rhythmic beats of drums coursing in blood
In a rapture of sweet delight senses fainted
Then she told- "I am the princess of sun world
I love you; I wish to share my love with you
If you can find me among the men of world
I would offer this heavenly lotus of my love."
Stating thus flashing smiles she had shown
Me a dazzling diamond lotus of Sunbeams
Over her bosom and vanished in my dream!
