on what I did,
I shouldn't have done it,
I shouldn't have broken it off,
I was at a state of denial,
I denied that I loved you,
but I was scared of it,
so I ran off,
now I regret it,
but I can't do anything about it now,
and I can't tell you how I feel,
I messed us up,

You look so happy now,
like you've forgotten that we ever were,
that's why I don't want to say anything,
I don't want to kill your mood,

So now I'm left broken hearted,
my heart unmended,
as I stare and think of you,
wondering what more we could have been,
now it's too late,
too late to realize what I had.

Thinking back,
on what I did,
