When you are young
You have friends galore
And sometimes to the extent
They become a bore
Then you get older
And make many friends at work
But when you leave work and retire
My friendship they no longer desire
· So life goes on
· And the family and a few friends
· Make you happy your still above ground
· Its sad that people
· Are so concerned about the present
· And to neglect old friends
· I certainty resent
· So to all i must declare
· Remember you friends
· No matter how you despair
· so these words i am trying to unfold
· Friends are more precious than gold
