The devil's taken your soul, stolen your once pure breathe,
Crimson lips of blood red, nails all painted black,
Chains around your neck, God can't win you back,
Darkness has taken over, blinding your sad eyes,
You wait for your dark prince, to come and claim his prize,
Wandering in the dark, "nights child" they all say,
Leading lost souls to death, showing them the way,
The chains around your neck, start to get tighter,
Your being choked off from life, but still remain a fighter,
Falling to the ground, eyes cry tears of blood,
Nails almost breaking, clawing at the mud,
Hands and legs cut open, blood drenching the ground,
Blurry eyes look up, the prize has now been found,
Her dark prince takes her cut up hands, helps her rise,
Whipes the bloody tears away, from her stinging eyes,
He smiles a devilish grin, says "it will be okay now",
First she was filled with doubt, but she believes him somehow,
He breaks the chains around her neck, letting her breathe again,
She smiles up greatly relieved, ridding herself of the pain,
Hand in hand the dark lovers turn to go,
But there's still one thing that you need to know,
Who was this suffering angel? Who rescued her when she was at her end?
That angel use to be me and my rescuer, well he would be my friend,
So this poem is my thank you, to you for saving my soul,
And for that I'll always love you, and now my spirit's whole,
So my dark prince, If you'll continue to face the darkness of the land,
Come stand beside me, and face it holding my hand.
