standing silently in the sea
A symbol to the world and all Americans
The Statue of Liberty
She rests silently in her glory
as everything passes her by
An unforgetable sight to everyone
under a blue or cloudy sky
You will never forget the feeling
that is now burried deep inside
It will be there forever
held with the utmost pride
The Statue of Liberty is special
you know that at first glance
Given to America many years ago
by the country France
If you are an American
or just a passer bye
The memory of this lady
will be there until you die

I am now looking at a lady
standing silently in the sea
A symbol to the world and all Americans
The Statue of Liberty
She rests silently in her glory
as everything passes her by
An unforgetable sight to everyone

You will never forget the feeling
that is now burried deep inside
It will be there forever
held with the utmost pride
The Statue of Liberty is special

If you are an American

The memory of this lady
will be there until you die
