I know he did it for a worthy cost
They tortured, beat and kicked him around
Even threw him onto the ground
What could he had done that was so bad
That made them so vicious and mad
All those punches, kicks and blows
Why they did it, only God knows
No human being deserved to suffer like that
No matter who or where you are at
His body was in so much pain
Those people must have been insane
While on the cross he asked God to forgive
After all they did they don't deserve to live

When I saw Jesus on the cross
I know he did it for a worthy cost
They tortured, beat and kicked him around
