About ACTUAL WMDs - we can tell you zilch
We didn't find ONE
But listen - we want to tell you about PROGRAMS
And we'll tell you a ton

Our little fact-laundry machine is working hard
We turn the dial to make you smile
Turn down those frowns about our lies

Let us tell you about IRAQ'S PROGRAMS
There are no WMDs but that's forgotten!
You say programs are no IMMINENT threat
Oh come on don't be so rotten

Listen, we love our PR washing spin machine
It makes us shiny right and not so mean
Any factual stuff you can forget
It’s your PERCEPTION we’re out to get

Don’t think too hard about what’s REAL
We want to concentrate on how you FEEL
Forget all the things we said that weren’t true
Just concentrate on the DANGER we show you

You know—THE IRAQIS HAD PROGRAMS!
Didn’t you know?
Aren’t you scared yet? And ready to throw
All thoughts of our lies to one side?
You know we have GOOD reasons to hide!

Think of what we SAY not what we DO
That way we can easier HOODWINK you!
Look, we’ve devised the words we think you’ll believe
We’ll show you they had PROGRAMS!
And tried to DECEIVE!

Okay, that wasn’t what we said before!
But saying THAT was not enough for war
So we changed it round to be heard
An IMMINENT threat to make you scared

But our program now is to make you forget
And show what we did was STILL RIGHT and yet
Retain our dignity while we turn and squirm
Hoping you don’t notice our reasoning infirm

We did things we shouldn’t have done
But hey, forget it, bygones be bygone
Look at all our comprehensive FACTS
Be impressed with our 'program-ed' attack

We’re just poor politicians. We know no better
We're past masters at this game: 'Fact Forgetter'
Please, please let us away with all this death
Our lies were only so much hot breath

Even WHEN our words were NOT SO true
Does it really matter that much to you?
Yes, our boys are dying because of our lying
But look!!!
We have something ELSE you should be buying!

Designed to save our scrawny necks
We have a dossier full of juicy “FACTS”
No WMDs here - but let’s forget about that!
They had these PROGRAMS!!!!
