I get so tired of this
but you’re with me in it
I let hope go and I walk on
so now you carry mine
and your hands remind me
of all the life we have to live
that there is more for us
than these layers of dust
endless cycles of emptiness
but we still move forward
it always gets warmer
and now I see a light ahead
something good for us there
a glimmer in the air
so even though the sun will set
I’ll keep looking ahead

there is a spark in the darkness
I get so tired of this
but you’re with me in it
I let hope go and I walk on
so now you carry mine
and your hands remind me
