Belonged to this vocal chanteuse.

She packed up her skills in a sack; Vowed she would never come back;
She found work quite near; With a swell auctioneer;
And added her rhymes to his act!

Her poet denied he relied; His eyes and his writing ran dry.
He missed and adored her; But chose to ignore her;
Now he writes with a lisp in disguise.

If youre blessed with a prolific muse;
You had best learn to broker a truce;
Cause the last thing we need is a poem to read;
From a writer whose muse cooked his goose.

Beware the revenge of a muse; Fed up with her poets abuse.
He took all the credit; When everyone bet it;
Belonged to this vocal chanteuse.

She packed up her skills in a sack; Vowed she would never come back;
She found work quite near; With a swell auctioneer;
And added her rhymes to his act!

Her poet denied he relied; His eyes and his writing ran dry.
He missed and adored her; But chose to ignore her;
Now he writes with a lisp in disguise.

If youre blessed with a prolific muse;
You had best learn to broker a truce;
Cause the last thing we need is a poem to read;
From a writer whose muse cooked his goose.
