can`t catch my breath when you take me over
and every time I lose all composure
you breathe me in in hazy afterglow
and I find I don`t wanna let you go

drunk on each other
in screaming colour
ravenous lovers
crashing like thunder

...but you hum so quietly under my skin as I sleep

alone in my bed, I imagine
careless glances turning into passion
the way I never seem to get enough
of flames that always threaten to engulf
I can`t believe how perfectly you fit
into my story, even parts I missed
and in this hazy season of our love
I somehow feel you`re everything I`ve dreamed of

high on this feeling
stitched up wounds healing
hearts madly reeling
frantically beating

...but in the still of the night, this path is not treacherous

alone in my bed, I remember
